In 2000, when Crossdock began, we knew our strength was warehousing, so we offered short-term storage and crossdock services to the logistics industry. Trucking companies and freight brokers alike use Crossdock as their Toronto terminal. We built relationships with the best carriers running each North American lane that crossed through Toronto. We became experts in handling all kinds of products and understanding how they travel best. In 2006, we began to use our expertise and relationships to help shippers find better logistics solutions. Our freight brokerage division quickly grew to become our primary service as we successfully matched shippers with the best mode and carriers for their freight. Our warehouse allows our brokerage division to build and distribute consolidations of LTL freight, when appropriate, showing value to our clients that other brokerages cannot facilitate.

In 2013, Crossdock invested in a better first and last-mile service for our clients by adding our own fleet of trucks to the roads of Southern Ontario. This addition to our service offering has strengthened our flexibility and our ability to maintain more supply chain security.
